A basic block (simply known as block in Kongregate Racing) is a block type in the Platform Racing series and Kongregate Racing. Unlike other types, there are several variants of basic blocks in Platform Racing 1 and Platform Racing 2, with 4 in total.

Properties

As their name implies, basic blocks are the most simple block type that players can touch and run on without causing any additional effects. Due to their simplistic nature, they're typically the most used type of block in levels.

Trivia

• The "normal" and "waffle" variants in Platform Racing 1 aren't present in any level, though they're in the code, making them the only unused blocks in any of the Platform Racing games.
• While only 1 variant of the basic block is in Platform Racing 3 for each level type, they're still labelled "Basic Block 1" and unused descriptions for 3 other variants exist in the code, revealing they were planned to be included at one point, but ultimately weren't.
  • Because of this, Basic Blocks 2, 3, and 4 from Platform Racing 2 are the only blocks not to officially return.
